CPHFW SS17 favs 1 - the veterans

Endelig fashion week igen!

Finally fashion week again! I really like fashion week in the summer because then it's not so fucking cold vandering from show to show. Even though it was raining it was still an interesting fashion week, I think. The first shows that made an impression on me was of course some of the "veterans".
First and foremost it was of course Asger Juel Larsen. I was very excited for his show after his studio burned. I really did not think he would be able to get a new collection up and running after that, but I was pleasantly surprised. I was loving the references to fire that he has in his collection, as you can see on the first two pictures.
Han Kjøbenhavn was also one of my favourites this season. Everyone who knows me, knows that I have a weak spot for those kind of sunglasses, so I was clapping my hands, when I saw that all the models was wearing those. I was especially also loving that the collection was a bit sporty and that there was asian letters here and there in the collection. I've been into asian letters on garments myself a lot lately, so that made me really happy to see.
A third designer, who always manages to surprise me was Nicholas Nybro who used a lot of a bit older Danish celebrities as models instead of the young teenagers, who a lot of other designers often use. I thought it was so fresh and new with the older models wearing very "youthful" clothes and it was definitely a collection which was stuck in my brain the longest!
The last of the "veterans" who made an impression on me was of course Freya Dalsjø. I have for a lot of years been into biker inspired clothes, which was also the vibe i got from parts of this collection. I adore the more sophisticated biker style with a bit more subtle colours than the colours biker clothes usually is.
